Alexander is the cofounder and Executive Chairman of State, an opinion networking startup based in London. He is also cofounder and Chairman of Chiaro, the women’s technology startup behind the award-winning pelvic exercise tracker Elvie, launched in 2015. Alexander was the Founder of Jawbone, the industry leader in mobile lifestyle and wellness products, most recently serving as its Chairman through January 2015. As Jawbone's founding CEO, Alexander directed the development Jawbone’s core products and built the defense business with DARPA. In 2004, he launched the first Jawbone headset to critical acclaim, followed in 2006 by the industry-changing Jawbone Bluetooth headset and, in 2010, the award-winning Jambox speaker line. Alexander grew-up in Beirut and London before receiving his BSc and MSc in Engineering Design at Stanford University. Alexander advises a number of startup technology companies and charitable organizations in the US and Europe, and currently sits on Google’s Digital News Initiative Innovation Fund Council.
