Denzyl is the co-founder and CEO of Platoon, a platform for exceptional, independent artists.  Denzyl has also been a strategic advisor to Apple in music and media since being recruited by Steve Jobs in 2001. He has had a hand in landmark developments such as iTunes Global, Apple Music, the iTunes and Apple Music festivals (over 10 years) and many innovations within the company. Previously, Denzyl was the founder and CEO of AWAL, a pure-play digital music label representing over 20,000 artists and Buzzdeck, the music analytics company (both acquired by Kobalt). An accomplished musician and trained music therapist, Denzyl was originally an artist manager who worked with groundbreaking artists Paul Simon (Graceland), Johnny Clegg and Juluka, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and many others.
