Harry Briggs
Harry Briggs has been both an entrepreneur and an investor. He is a founding partner of BGF Ventures, a £200M early-stage Venture fund, focused on early-stage UK technology companies. BGF Ventures have made 17 investments to date. Previously, he spent nearly 6 years with Balderton Capital, where he initiated investments such as The Hut Group, GoCardless, Lyst, Touch Surgery, Appear Here, ROLI and Tictail. Before Balderton, he co-founded Firefly Tonics, a health drinks company, which he helped build into a luxury brand with customers in 35 countries, before selling to Private Equity firm Langholm Capital. Harry started his career at McKinsey & Co. in London and New York, and at 3, the mobile network, working on product and marketing strategy pre-launch. He has a degree in Experimental Psychology from Oxford. Outside work, he plays the piano, and co-founded a chamber choir, Voce, in 2003, that has performed around the world and had a brief glimmer of fame accompanying the Rolling Stones at Glastonbury.
